I recently went in for a little surgery to remove the "bone spur" I had on my foot. It was on the top of my foot right by the nerve, every time I would walk forward, the bones would pinch that nerve and cause some pain after my 12 hours shifts. So we just decided to take care of it! I am now bone-spur-less :) however, I can still feel the anesthesia and am taking Lortab... idk which one it is, but they make me feel so sick and nauseated. I hate them. haha... but love them for keeping my foot nice and pain-free..
what a pain in the butt!!
now, just laid up watching movies, sleeping, reading.. loads of fun! :)

Great Grandma Durfey
This is my Great Grandma Durfey.. Letha. What an amazing woman! look at that smile :)Grandma passed a week ago in her house at 91 and 1/2 years old. I was able to go over to see her the day before she passed and be one of only 3 ppl at the house at the time. I probably got about 45 minutes alone with her to comb her hair, hold her hand, tell her I loved her and kiss her goodbye for now. I was sitting here just holding her hand when I told her that I loved her and how much she meant to me when she gave me a smile and held my hand a little tighter.. I couldn't help but let the tears come. I love this woman with all my heart!
I am 1 out of 124 Great Grandchildren... and I felt like I was one of her favorites :) along with everyone else in the family.
I am grateful for the times that I went over to her house for lunch and sat and talked with her for hours about her childhood, meeting grandpa and her talking to me about my life. This lady had the best memory of anyone I have ever known! She could remember everything that I told her about my life and ask me about it the next time I saw her. I will never forget her famous homemade chocolate chip cookies, hugs, kisses, talks, contageous smile and love that she had for everyone.
I know that Heavenly Father puts us in our families for a reason. I also believe that he put me in the spot of this family for a reason too. I am grateful to be able to have this amazing lady in my life for 20 years. She was 100% devoted to this gospel and her family. I will miss her! I know that there is a great reunion going on in Heaven right now :)
FAMILIES ARE FOREVER!

-Spencer W. Kimball
I love this quote by Spencer W. Kimball... this quote alone is one that inspires me to keep a journal. There are times when I wonder why I keep buying journals to write events of MY life in... I don't feel like I have great and amazing things to fill the pages with, but I can honestly say that keeping a journal has blessed my life. I may not see the purpose of writing now, but maybe one day I will.
A few weeks ago I was cleaning out my closet and I came across all of my past journals. They start the day I was baptized. I spent hours reading through them...remembering past experiences, laughing at how big of a dork I sound in some of them, wanting to rip out some pages, and realizing how much I have grown. ( & still am growing)
After reading through my own journals, I decided I wanted to read through others in my family. We have a binder full of copies of journal entries from my grandparents, great grandparents, great-great.. and on.. I love this binder. I love learning about my ancestors and reading their thoughts. Even though I can't remember meeting them, I have a love and appreciation for them because of these journal entries.
This is what makes me write... and I hope I keep writing throughout my life.

-Lindsey Lu-
My baby sister turned 14 yesterday!! I can't believe it! I love her so much and am so grateful for the bubbly, spunky, optimistic,fun girl that she is! A few things that I L.O.V.E about Lindsey Lu....
* She always is ready to have a good time
* Nobody can "shun" anyone as well as she can
* Her blondeness.. :)
* When she sets her mind to something, she does it 110%
* She's a friend to everyone
* She holds strong to her standards, never waivering
* The whole month of August is to celebrate her birth
* She's always there for me when I need someone to listen, even if she doesn't really care about what I'm telling her, she's there.
* She says "bless me" every time she sneezes
The list is endless! Lu.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I LOVE YOUUUU!!!

G.N.O!!
We have this tradition where every summer all of us go up to Jenica's cabin and spend the night. Eating yummy food, sitting around the campfire, talking about old times, what's happening right now in our lives and of course the anxiously anticipated events that will occur in our future! :) haha
I can't even begin to tell you how much I love these girls.. each one brings their own special "gift" into our circle and it is easily noticed when one is missing. Nights like these really make me realize how much each one means to me and that I would do anything for any of them.. we've been through the highs and lows of growing up and are still great friends! Who could ask for better girlfriends?? I have been extremely blessed!!
We try and get together as much as possible now with everyone moved away, going to school and working.. here are some of the good times we've had this year! I LOVE YOU GIRLS!

The Blonde, Brunette and Red Head
I just spent 4 hot summer days in the city I think of as my 2nd home.. Cedar City! With 2 of my favorite people on the planet! It was a good time staying up late talking, never making it through 30 minutes of a movie without falling asleep, SUBWAY SUBWAY and more SUBWAY! Shopping in St. George, 115 degree weather, going to walmart for one thing at a time, bumpin in the car.. livin' the life!!
A lady came up to us in St. George and referred to us as "the blonde, brunette and red head" She thought it was funny that the 3 of us had such different hair colors. I'm sure that many people have thought this when they see us pass by, but only the true gems will point it out to us in the middle of IN-N-OUT while pointing a finger and laughing as she states the obvious.. I'm so glad we could humor her!
Dont' tell me this doesn't look like a good time! :)
